Gold Star first came out a number of years ago when other companies were slipping in quality and it was hard to find a good, professional banjo at a fair price.  They sold like hot cakes but for one reason or another they stopped making them.

Well, Gold Star's are back and thank goodness.  True, there are many good banjos out there, more now then ever in fact, but few that hit the professional quality range without hitting the outrageously high price range.  Gold Star is one of the few.

Completely redesigned from the ground up and expanding their line, Gold Star makes banjos that you won't have to sell your car to get and yet can play up with the best of them.  I think one of the most important endorsements I know of is that our vetern teacher, Randy Stewart now plays one all the time as his main banjo.
